Video Summary
The video demonstrates a minimally invasive technique for harvesting a quadriceps tendon autograft for ACL reconstruction. A 2.5 cm midline incision is made with the knee flexed at 90 degrees. The quadriceps tendon is exposed and cut using a double knife blade, and a stay suture aids tendon mobilization. The graft is then removed with a cigar cutter device. Full thickness grafts are preferred, although partial thickness is possible. The quadriceps tendon defect is closed with interrupted sutures, and the skin is sutured closed. The graft is subsequently prepared on a back table.
