Course Learning Objectives
At the completion of this course the participant will be able to:
  1. Comprehend current controversies in primary and revision intra- and extra-articular ligament reconstruction including the variation of contemporary technique options available today.
  2. Formulate appropriate treatment algorithms in the management of articular cartilage defects and pathology as well as to learn the latest surgical technique options available to address these problems.
  3. Identify and master arthroscopic skills from basic knot tying to the more complex arthroscopic surgical techniques for labral repair/instability surgery, basic and complex rotator cuff repair, and biceps management.
  4. Understand the most important factors involved in thoughtful preoperative planning, intraoperative decision-making, and trouble-shooting using up-to-date expert opinion, experience and evidence.

The educational content of this activity was based upon current issues and topics provided by AANA Planning Committees and Membership.
