At the conclusion of this educational activity participants will be able to:
- Review the key clinical and radiographic findings for identifying atypical or complex rotator cuff tears
- Delineate the options and technical considerations in addressing large and massive rotator cuff tears, particularly in a younger and more active patient population without glenohumeral arthritis
- Emphasize stepwise approach, key pearls, and pitfalls for emerging surgical techniques such as repair augmentation, interpositional grafts, superior capsular reconstruction, tendon transfers, and balloon arthroplasty for irreparable rotator cuff tears
