ICL Description
This ICL focuses on understanding the role of osteotomy as an adjunct to cartilage/meniscal restoration. Discussion topics include: technical pearls for performing combined cartilage restoration, meniscus transplantation, ligament reconstruction, and/or realigning osteotomies; indications for biologic augmentation to joint preservation techniques in the setting of cartilage and/or meniscal restoration; and management of the young, high-level athlete requiring cartilage/meniscal restoration.
Learning Objectives
Following completion of this course, participants should be able to:
  1. Understand the role of osteotomy as an adjunct to cartilage/meniscal restoration;
  2. Discuss technical pearls for performing combined cartilage restoration, meniscus transplantation, ligament reconstruction, and/or realigning osteotomies;
  3. Discuss indications for biologic augmentation to joint preservation techniques in the setting of cartilage and/or meniscal restoration, and;
  4. Discuss management of the young, high level athlete requiring cartilage/meniscal restoration.
