ICL Description
This ICL reviews workup considerations and technical challenges in ACL reconstruction, including bone loss, tunnel malposition, malalignment correction and utilizing extra-articular procedures.Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to: define strategies for managing femoral and tibial bone loss and/or malpositioned tunnels in revision ACL reconstruction, including one-versus two-staged approaches and alternative graft sources (e.g. quadriceps, contralateral patellar tendon, iliotibial band); discuss common indications and preferred techniques for a lateral extra-articular procedure in the treatment of primary or revision ACL reconstruction; and critically evaluate the role of periarticular knee osteotomy for the treatment of revision ACL reconstruction. Participants will also receive technical tips and pearls.
