ICL Description
This course outlines current state-of-the-art techniques in foot and ankle arthroscopy. Percutaneous and arthroscopic calcaneal osteotomy, Achilles tendon treatment and midfoot/forefoot reconstruction are all evolving areas, with percutaneous and arthroscopic techniques evolving rapidly in North America over the last three years. Learning Objectives
At the completion of the instructional course, the participants should be able to:
  1. Describe some of the newer techniques used for foot and ankle arthroscopy.
  2. Assess some of the pathology that can be arthroscopically assisted in foot and ankle care.
  3. Identify the risks and benefits of arthroscopic surgery in the foot; familiarize themselves with the portals and anatomy of arthroscopic procedures in the foot and ankle; describe foot and ankle arthroscopy limitations; and be aware of some of the opportunities and challenges within their own practice environment.
